Ayo Saromi is a one-of-a-kind advisor. His holistic approach to physical, mental and spiritual fitness via martial arts offers something for everyone, no matter their ability or experience. Both my 12-year-old son and I have worked with Ayo on a range of goals to better ourselves and our relationship to good health and better self-confidence. Specifically, Ayo has worked with my son, who has an ASD diagnosis, on using principles of martial arts both for physical fitness and as a channel to better relate to and communicate with others. Ayo and I have worked together on nutrition planning and different training regimes, and as someone who has had “commitment issues” with both, I have found Ayo to be incredibly empathetic while challenging me to do better. I highly recommend him and the team at KAFFA, LLC.

I can personally attest to Mr. Saromi's skill and ability to teach in a calm, considerate, and thorough manner. His martial arts ability is bar none, and he even helped me to really improve my basketball game. Working with him was an enriching and comfortable experience I can definitely recommend.

I have a bachelor's degree in science focusing on the human body. I have a certificate in mental health training and mental health first aid. I have CPR and BLS training. I have a first degree black belt in Shotokan Karate.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began this work after years in the social service field in addition to over a decade of martial arts training. I did see the need for our youth to be able to access meaningful activities outside of school that can build their mind, body, and necessary awareness to be able to make the right decisions on their own.
