- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $75 per hour. I strongly recommend individual sessions at least 2x per week for struggling learners. In my experience, your child will thrive and look forward to our sessions! Also, I provide package deals as well. If a client signs-up for the package plan immediately, the client will receive a 10% discount. My credentials and experience have shown that this is a very reasonable rate to charge. I am able to find out what areas your child struggles with and close the gap in that area. If you are looking for the quickest and most effective solution available with a top-notch certified teacher, I am the best option.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I start with assessing your child to find out where the gaps are. Then I chat with the parent to let him/her know what I noticed. Third, I comes up with a customized plan for your child that will close the gap quickly for him or her. And then I meet with your child weekly. Every 3 months I reassesses your child to find out what gains your child has made. Then I change the instruction to continue to close the gap.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am Monique the UNIQUE online reading tutor and I have worked with 100's of students with closing the reading gap. I have been a classroom teacher for over 10 years. I received my master's in childhood education (1st-6th grade). Although I teach all subjects, reading has become one of my favorite topics to teach because When I was in third grade, I was a struggling reader. So now, as an educator it feels great to support struggling readers and give them a gift that will outlast me - the ability to read.
