- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rate is usually $400/hour after the first hour. A small gathering (wedding, proposal, dinner, etc) will be considered and the rate will be adjusted accordingly. In the case of traveling more than 50 miles or into the city, I will include the parking and travel fee into my quote. Any trip beyond ~120miles I must include accommodations and travel fees accordingly. A tip is ALSO appreciated at the end of the night :)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to ask about your favorite songs. Then we find what the needs are for your event and create goals together based on those needs. Putting together set lists takes a lot of time, especially for performing live music along to a custom playlist. I also take into account the client's musical preferences and suggestions. Playing a musical instrument takes years and years of training/schooling, and performance experience to know what to play and when to play it.
