About
My name is Alejandra and I’ve been teaching piano for over 20 years in New York. My goal as a teacher is to share my love of music with my students. Piano lessons shouldn’t feel like a chore or something a child is being forced into. Playing piano should be fun and something you look forward to and it’s my job to show my students the magic of music. As important as it is to make lessons enjoyable and fun, it is equally important to learn to play the correct way with relaxed and proper technique and to understand and learn how to read music. Thanks for stopping by! Feel free to contact me for further information.

My 10 years old son loves his pianolesson. Alejandra is amazing. My son asked her to show him how to play “happy birthday “ to surprise me on my birthday. She went above and beyond to make sure he learned how to do it. She spent the whole hour teaching him even though it was so last minute. She is very enthusiastic and cool. We like her a lot. Give her a try, you won’t be disappointed!

My daughter loves Ms. Alejandra. She has been studying with her since she was in kindergarten. I appreciated Ms. Alejandras patience and soft demeanor. She is also very good at encouraging little children, which is crucial when they are starting out. My daughter is stubborn and doesnt like to listen to anything I have to say about playing piano, but Ms. Alejandras word is law to my daughter.

I started lessons with Dr. Diaz-Acosta as an older student. My confidence level for learning was low as I was not advancing with my previous teacher. In a short amount of time I felt more relaxed with her teaching method and looked forward to practicing and lessons. I highly recommend her.

Alejandra has made a tremendous difference in my daughter's musical journey. She creates a very supportive environment while challenging my daughter to reach higher levels of performance.Alejandra is very patient, structured, and genuinely invested in student growth. We are very grateful to have Alejandra to be the teach for the past decade.

Omg. She has been our piano teacher ever since we had our first daughter 20 years ago. She is a natural in passing over the skills and knowledge associated with playing piano. She is simply amazing; she is simply the best. My children love her very much.
