FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Payment is due after every lesson or session. Occasionally for lessons, I will accept payment up front for the month. I typically don't offer discounts, and I charge an additional $15 for travel to a student’s home.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get to know each student and/or artist before working with them by setting up a phone call prior to our first meeting to make sure I fully understand their goals, skill level, and any other situations that may influence their learning and/or artistry.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My experience is vast and spans more than 20 years. I'm a classically trained vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, which has allowed me to work with an immense array of artists in musical contexts ranging from classical to pop and rock, jazz, hip/hop and rap, studio and live performance work. I've been a producer and mix engineer for the better part of 10 years, owning a recording studio in CT, and now recording/mixing/mastering for artists remotely or in-studio. I compose, arrange, and produce music, as well. My teaching experience is heavily based in Social-Emotional methodology, influenced by the teachings and theories of Dewey and Vygotsky. A formal CV is available upon request.
