FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. **Initial Consultation:** I start with a conversation to understand the customer’s needs, preferences, and the specific location for the TV installation. 2. **Site Assessment:** If possible, I visit the site to evaluate the mounting area, check for studs, and discuss any potential challenges. 3. **Recommendations:** Based on the assessment, I provide recommendations on TV size, mount type, and optimal placement to enhance the viewing experience. 4. **Quote:** I then give the customer a detailed quote that outlines the services provided, materials needed, and costs involved. 5. **Scheduling:** Once the customer agrees to the quote, we schedule a convenient time for the installation. 6. **Installation:** On the agreed date, I perform the installation, ensuring the TV is securely mounted and properly connected to any devices. 7. **Walkthrough:** After installation, I conduct a walkthrough with the customer, demonstrating how to use the TV and any connected devices. 8. **Follow-Up:** I follow up after a few days to ensure the customer is satisfied with the installation and address any questions or concerns they may have.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My background as an electrician apprentice has provided me with valuable knowledge and hands-on experience related to wiring, electrical systems, and safety protocols. This training has been beneficial in the TV mounting business, as it allows me to understand how to safely and effectively handle electrical components during installations. Additionally, the technical skills I gained have enabled me to deliver high-quality service when setting up televisions and ensuring optimal performance.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got started in the TV mounting business out of a passion for home entertainment and technology. Friends and family often asked for help setting up their televisions, and I quickly realized I had a knack for it. After completing a few installations, I decided to turn this skill into a side business, and it gradually grew as more people sought my expertise in creating optimal viewing experiences in their homes.
