FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't really do hourly, I base my prices off of the national average for any given job, I'll typically shoot for the low end of that average, or below it if seems fair to do so. If you are dead set on having hourly work done, I charge 100 for the first hour and 50 an hour after that. It will most likely be more expensive than the national average though just so you know. All of my work comes with a 2 year warranty should the repair/install fail for any reason, I mean even if your nephew comes to visit and rips your new ceiling fan out of the ceiling, I'll come back and fix it free, no questions asked, two years from date of service.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to build a report with the client so they know they aren't going to be taken advantage of. There's nothing worse than a tradesman who lies about equipment being broken just to charge a lot of money, or one who runs the clock out to charge more hours, partly why I don't do hourly. Next I like to attempt to establish price only because I've been burned before by dishonest individuals that decide to renege on deals after I complete the work, leaving me without leverage. Then we schedule a day/time and I bring my A-game in hopes of repeat business and referrals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm OSHA 10 certified, meaning I've completed OSHA's ten hour course on job-site safety.
