FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I accept booking requests made up to 4 weeks in advance. My minimum charge of $175.00 is for a 2 hour party...that is usually is enough time to paint 12-15 faces. My 2 hour party package includes 10 glitter tattoos! Upon initial request for availability, when I respond that I am available, I will hold your date on my calendar for 72 hours. Kindly respond quickly so we can set up a time to chat or text and get all of our questions answered. If you do not respond, or ignore my text contact, I will delete your requested date and move on to the next customer who contacts me. Please be aware that I pay a fee to Thumbtack for generating your lead. If you aren’t serious about hiring a face painter, are just shopping, or fail to respond to my initial call or text, I still have to pay that fee, so kindly respond with the 72 hour timeframe. Thank you so much for your understanding of how Thumbtack operates, and thank you for using Thumbtack to hire your pro!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I find out what the event is, how many faces will be painted, and the ages.. I don't count kids under age 3 because they usually don't sit still long enough for anything but a small design on their hand or arm.. lol!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken classes in drawing, which focuses a lot on shading. It has helped me to give designs some depth . I have taken online courses that cover improving line work, and properly balancing designs on the face. I recently completed a 3 day course and was certified by the International Face Painting School. Three full days and 12 hours of classes taught by 4 different instructors/artists focused on improving the quality of finished designs. Sometimes a person loves a design, but it has to be modified to fit the size and shape of the persons face. I usually try to explain what Im going to do before I do it. Color integration is important too, and I have a good eye for blending colors.
