Introduction
Dwelling Design Studio is all about interior design worth creating. I believe that the key to a successful project is understanding your client - their space, their style, their budget - and making them the priority over any design agendas. I work closely with homeowners, renters, businesses, realtors, and builders because collaborating lends itself to new, fresh, and creative designs for each and every project. I have experience in Architecture, Construction, and Project Management, all of which have helped develop my multi-faceted approach to Interior Design; I understand what works in a space, what looks awesome, and how to get it done! The best part about being a designer is doing what I love to do for others. I enjoy meeting new people, and learning about their lifestyle and interests so that I can better guide them in transforming their space.

Cassidy did a great job designing our new bathroom. She maximized the tightish space that we had to work with and also was receptive to our input on design elements. I’d highly recommend her for this or similar projects.

Details: Design of 1 - 2 rooms • Bathroom(s) • Less than 500 sq ft • Space planning / layout • Color palette / paint selection • Lighting selection • Flooring selection • Midcentury Modern • My home, venue, etc. • At the pro’s location

Cassidy was great to work with! She worked on two rooms for us and both turned out beautiful. She was very responsive and timely. She provided a comprehensive design plan to accomplish my desired style within my budget - and I couldn't be happier with the overall results. I plan to use her again on our next project!

5+ stars! Dwelling Design Studio helped turn our new home, that was in desperate need of a renovation, into our dream house! It was our first home purchase, not even remotely turn key, but it was so charming and had so much potential. We were in over our heads and needed help! Our designer at DDS helped us look past the old and outdated and made the potential we saw together, a reality! From layouts, to helping us narrow so many selections (who knew there were a million options for everything?!), and furnishings once the build was complete, Dwelling Design Studio helped every step of the way. Our designer had so many ideas, the helped modernize our 70's layout, to more of an open floor plan, as well as maximizing beauty and space. We are now living in what once was a "gut" house project and it looks like a new house! Its BEAUTIFUL. I cannot recommend enough. Thank you Dwelling Design Studio!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I charge a flat, all inclusive hourly rate for my services. Depending on the scope of the project, ordering and/or management and oversight fees may vary.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

The initial consultation typically consists of a 1 hr meeting at your project site to review the scope of work, brainstorm ideas, and to take pictures and measurements. My work after that is broken into phases, which also depend on the scope of work. The phases are typically planning, design & production, and purchasing. Planning consists of sketching layouts, and gathering initial inspiration images. In design & production scaled drawings, renderings, and story boards are put together so you can better visualize the finished space. Finally the purchasing stage is putting together the sourcing guides, final budget, and ordering.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

My advice when searching for a professional is to make sure you feel comfortable communicating with that professional and that he or she is a great listener. When it comes to my field of work, I find that coming up with and implementing a successful design is a product of collaboration between the designer and the client. At the end of the day, the client is the one using the space, so the space needs to one that they feel just as much pride in as the designer.
