I booked a duct cleaning service for an apartment I own. I was out of town when the work was done. The tenant was happy but the cost was much more than I had expected. It seems the standard fee was $30 per duct and $120 for a dryer vent. That should have been listed upfront instead of a $69 service call that would be credited against the bill if hired. Turns out that there still was a $49 dispatch fee charged. If I had known those costs upfront I would have looked elsewhere. The company should have listed their standard fees upfront or they should have offered a free estimate.
