WARNING: Do Not Hire Alvidrez LLC Avoid hiring Carlos for any construction or repair work. Our experience demonstrates his dishonesty and unprofessional practices. In January, we contacted Carlos for a quote to repair our backyard brick wall. He initially appeared professional, provided a quote, and requested half the payment upfront. On the first day of work, he claimed the wall was beyond repair, requiring complete demolition and foundation replacement. He then presented a new quote, double the original amount. Due to the increased cost, we opted for a cedar fence instead. Carlos agreed, provided a revised quote, and requested an additional $3,000 for materials. Upon returning home, we discovered the fence posts were installed crooked. We immediately stopped the project and sought a second opinion. A qualified contractor assessed the situation and confirmed that the original wall did not need to be demolished and the foundation was sound. Carlos had misled us. When we cancelled the job and requested a refund of our down payment, Carlos ignored our requests. Despite not receiving any receipts, we paid for the labor and materials used up to that point. Carlos removed our perfectly good (repairable) wall, installed unusable fence posts (requiring removal and replacement), charged excessive fees without providing receipts, and ultimately kept over $5,000 while refusing to rectify the situation. Alvidrez LLC dishonest and exploited our lack of construction expertise. Do not make the same mistake – do not hire him.
