Update on 12/30/2024: They ended up refunding the deposit after I posted this. I had an appalling experience with Unique Floors. I initially paid a $1,000 deposit for them to repair a portion of my garage and reapply epoxy. Before they started, I specifically showed them that the floor was cratered and uneven and asked if they could properly prepare it to ensure it would be level with the rest of the surface. They assured me it wouldn’t be an issue. The result was an absolute disaster: the surface ended up worse than before—uneven, cratered, pooling water everywhere, and with flakes scattered all over. After seeing the mess, I requested a refund. While the owner agreed to refund $500, I never received it despite multiple follow-ups over several months. He initially promised to mail a check, then claimed he’d send the money electronically, but neither happened. They did offer to redo the job, but to be honest, the quality of work was so poor, and the communication was such a nightmare, that I couldn’t bring myself to trust them again or have them revisit my home. Now, I’m left with the burden of hiring someone else to completely redo the job. This company is unprofessional, unreliable, and incapable of delivering on their promises. Avoid Unique Floors at all costs if you value your time, money, and peace of mind.
