Makell repaired and retufted the buttons onto my sofa. I didn't think this was even possible, but he reassured me that he would get it done. It is absolutely amazing to see the skill he has and how efficiently he was able to complete the work. I honestly couldn't tell where the repairs were made, once he was finished. My wife and I recently moved into a three-story townhome in South Philly and faced a major challenge with our large sectional couch that our movers couldn't get up the stairs to our family room. We had reached out to a few other people who either told us what we were asking for was impossible or, in one case, came out, completely wasted our time, and ultimately ended up punching a hole in our wall trying to force the couch up the stairs. After nearly giving up on the couch, we read about Makell's services on Thumbtack and were so impressed by his reviews that we reached out to him and arranged a time for him to help us out. Makell arrived on time as promised and immediately went to work disassembling our couch. He then helped us carry it up three flights of stairs and reassembled it so well that you'd never know it had been taken apart. We are absolutely blown away by Makell's skill as a craftsman, professionalism, and ability to get the work done in short order. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is affordable and is based on your description/pictures. If for some reason I have to do more than what we spoke about from the pictures or not having a good description the price could change minimally.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like for customers to send pictures or give a very detailed descriptions of the item/ damage and cause . The we move forward by selecting a date and time and lastly coming to an agreement on pricing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Self Taught. 5 years of experience.
