FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It’s really quite simple. Either online or in person, I recommend a consultation/lesson. This is a pro bono meeting, because it is crucial that the teacher and the students are equally committed to this process of learning music. After the initial consultation, if the student wishes to continue with me, then we discuss repertoire, practice, routines, lesson schedules. It’s all very organic and natural.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a graduate of the renowned Eastman School of Music. I received a violin performance bachelors degree and a masters degree in viola.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
To me, teaching and performing are two sides of the same coin so teaching was a very natural extension of my performing career. To see a young person figure something out and “find their way” is very rewarding.
