FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I believe in transparent and fair pricing. My standard diagnostic and service visit is $90, which covers up to the first hour on-site. If the customer proceeds with the recommended repair, that diagnostic fee is waived and only the labor rate of $140 per hour, plus materials, is applied. For after-hours, weekends, or emergency services, I charge a $125 minimum, with an after-hours rate of $180 per hour. All pricing is discussed and approved before any work begins — there are no surprise charges or hidden fees. I also offer discounts to repeat clients and referrals as a way of showing appreciation for continued trust in my work.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I listen. I want to understand the problem from their perspective. Then I do a full diagnostic, explain my findings clearly, and offer honest recommendations. I always walk the customer through the work before and after so they feel confident in what was done.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my EPA 608 certification for handling refrigerants, completed technical school training in HVAC systems, and hold a state-issued Home Improvement Contractor license. I’ve also spent years in the field doing everything from service calls on complex system diagnostic to foreman/field supervisor.
