FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Custom Quotes: Every project is unique, and pricing is tailored to fit the specific needs of your order. Once we discuss your vision and details, I’ll provide you with a comprehensive quote. Deposits: A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking and begin work on your project. The remaining balance is due before final delivery. Minimums: Some services, such as wedding stationery or large-scale orders, may have a minimum order requirement. Rush Fees: Do you need your project sooner? Rush services are available for an additional fee to accommodate tight timelines.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Every project starts with a conversation. Whether you’re planning your wedding, hosting an event, or looking for bespoke calligraphy, my goal is to make the process seamless and enjoyable (and maybe a little fun!). Here’s what working with me typically looks like: Discovery Call – We’ll chat about your vision, event details, and how I can bring it to life through custom calligraphy. This is where I learn your style, colors, and overall vibe. If you would rather email about the project, that is fine as well. Proposal & Quote – After our chat, I’ll send a detailed proposal outlining what we discussed, including pricing, timelines, and design ideas. Once a deposit is paid I will start on your design. Design Phase – Once we’re aligned, I’ll get to work sketching concepts. You’ll get a chance to review and approve before I move forward with the final artwork. Production – Whether it’s wedding stationery, signage, or on-site calligraphy, this is where the magic happens! I’ll keep you updated every step of the way to ensure everything is perfect.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My journey into calligraphy and design began with a deep passion for art and storytelling. Over the years, I’ve honed my skills through a combination of formal education, professional training, and hands-on experience. Here’s a little more about my background: Artistic Foundations: I hold a B.F.A. from Savannah College of Art and Design, where I focused on fashion design. Calligraphy Training: I’ve trained under renowned calligraphy instructors and attended workshops specializing in modern calligraphy, pointed pen, brush lettering, etc. This has allowed me to refine my techniques and develop my unique style. Professional Experience: Over 5 years, I’ve worked with countless clients, creating bespoke designs for weddings, events, and brands, always striving for artistry and precision. Continuing Education: I stay inspired and up-to-date by attending industry conferences, learning new techniques, and experimenting with the latest trends in stationery design and calligraphy.
