- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The charge for a weekly lesson in my home is $32/half hour. Longer lessons are available and required for students above the primer level. A sibling discount is available for lessons scheduled back-to-back. Lessons are purchased by the month and payment is due at the last lesson of the prior month. I now offer the Wunderkeys pre-school piano method for 3-5 year olds. Yes, 3-5 year olds can play too!!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When beginning a new student I am learning as much about them as they are the instrument. I will observe as I teach and adjust the way I teach to accommodate your child's unique learning style.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned my BS in Education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania where I majored in Music Education and studied both the oboe and piano. In addition to being certified to teach music grades K- 12 I also successfully completed the Music Together teacher training program for birth- 6 years of age at the Center for Music and Young Children in Princeton NJ. I have taught music in in both the public and private sectors to students ranging in age from 3 to 93 including adaptive music for both adults and children in residential habilitative programs. Although I've taught in several states including Pennsylvania and West Virginia New Jersey has been my home for the last 18 years.
