FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We are a Morris County Park Commission owned facility and that makes us very close to the community and the general public. Apart from safety, of course, our priority is to offer all kinds of horseback riding and horsemanship activities for every age and every budget. Our riders range from 3 years old all the way into their seventies. We make a point to offer the best possible exposure to everything equine at rates below the average privately owned facility.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start by suggesting a 30 minutes private Evaluation Lesson. This is not just for us to evaluate the rider, as some may not have any experience, but also for the potential client to make sure that this is the right thing for them. We want them to understand what is involved, the kind of instruction they will get, how long it will take them to achieve a degree of proficiency. We also want to understand their goals: Is it just for pleasure? To be able to safely and confidently trail ride? Does one want more formal instruction? Do they plan to own their own horse in the near future? By knowing each and everyone of our customers and understanding their personal goals, we are in a better position to help them fulfill these.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I actually teach people about it and give clinics in the field.
