Introduction

Teaching has always been a passion of mine. I get a lot of energy and satisfaction seeing a subject or concept click for a student. I've been tutoring for over 10 years. With me you will receive a lot more than just the time paid for the session. I always come prepared and make sure to follow up. I know how to work at the pace of the student, and understand that their motivation is the key to improvement. I first picked Mark out of everyone because of him smiling in his picture. He looked kind & friendly and he was! He was prompt, planned ahead for the sessions and worked on what was needed. I’d been telling my son to get a tutor for months, but he always hesitated. After meeting Mark, he even booked an extra session! This is what my son said after the sessions: He was very patient with me, explains the topics well, asking me to read some problems out loud before we solve them gives me a basis to start with. Mark is very intelligent and an exceptional tutor who has a unique ability to explain complex math concepts in a way that is easy to understand...He really took his time to explain the key concepts of Physics to me and how it applied in the real world. It is obvious that he is passionate about being a tutor and helping his students learn. Also his teaching style is engaging and he is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that his students are grasping the material. Since working with Mark, I have noticed a significant improvement in my abilities, and I feel more confident in my knowledge of the subject matter. The first consultation is always free! If you have trouble affording my hourly prices let me know and we can discuss a plan that may work better for you.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
During the initial consultation I want to understand what you are struggling with as well as your goals. This will give me time to prepare for the first session to guarantee that no time is wasted.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2017 with a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering. I was very lucky to grow up in a family of teachers and tutors. This allowed me to learn test taking skills as well as how to cater to the learning needs of others.
