Introduction

I feel that my passion for drumming, education, and vast experience performing in very high levels of the music industry set me apart from other instructors. I feel I have a stronger understanding of what is expected from drummers in today's professional setting that I can pass on to my students. I've played drums live and in the studio for several years. As exciting as that can be, I've always felt it was more fulfilling, in many ways, to sit one-on-one with a student who is interested in the art of drumming, break things down to easily digestible fundamentals and then put it all back together. This process itself brings me great joy, but the real fun begins when I start to see my students' long-term goals/dreams become reality.

Zhach is highly responsive and his teaching technique is thorough. First lesson went through sheet music reading notations, to tempo keeping, and foundational stick work techniques for my son. His energy and enthusiasm kept my child interested and focus throughout the lessons.

I went into the lessons with some self-taught experience, and zero knowledge of terms/basics. Zhach is doing a phenomenal job of filling the holes in my knowledge, and expanding it into new territory. Lessons are an ideal blend of experimentation, new concepts, and the repetition of previously learned material.

I offer a FREE trial lesson to new students. Music & Arts charges a one time administrative fee and they offer two payment methods for weekly lessons; pre-pay for the month or monthly auto-withdrawal.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Learning their personality and musical goals so I can taylor our lessons toward those.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
A bachelors degree from Penn State University and I have studied drumset privately with Jim Riley (Rascal Flatts), Jason Sutter (Cher, Marilyn Manson, Chris Cornell), Kevin Soffera (Seether, Breaking Benjamin, Greg Howe) Chad Szeliga (Black Label Society, Thin Lizzy) and Marko Djordjevic (Jazz Legend)
