Introduction

I am a piano/keyboard player, singer, songwriter and piano teacher. My band (David Easton Band) is a rock band infused with funk and jazz (in the vein of Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, jamiroquai, Steely Dan etc). We play covers and original music. So if you want a song written for your event please ask about that! As a teacher I teach all styles from classical to jazz and pop. I work well with all ages from children to adults. Music is my life! I love listening to it. I love making it. I love teaching others. I have plenty of references if you need them.

David and his guitarist were excellent. Couldn’t have asked for anyone better to play at our wedding. David was also the most responsive and involved vendor we communicated with throughout the wedding planning process! Made it so easy and fun. He even took the time to learn songs that were important to us and set up a complete play list with all our requests and more that he had play during breaks. He was very professional and listened to what we wanted and was a huge help! I would definitely recommend and hire him and his guitarist again!

David was the hit of my husband's surprise birthday party. The minute he set up, he got right into playing all the favorite sing-a-longs and the crowd was dancing and singing and it was very enjoyable. I would definitely use David again!!!

We hired the band for a large benefit and could not be happier with the outcome. They did a tremendous job engaging the attendees and getting everyone on their feet and dancing. Wide range of music - all top notch performances. Talented musicians and singers - solid from beginning to end. David Easton was excellent 5 stars , he performed at our daughters wedding reception everyone that attended raved about his performance . He was early and a pleasure to work with , his sound was very clean and at the perfect volume . David played a variety of music from standards to classic and current hits of today . David was a true pro in all aspects , we would use his services again and refer him in a second .

In addition to the hourly rate, there may be extra cost for sound system, travel, set up time etc. depending on the scope of the event.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Had the fortune to be able to study piano with some jazz greats like Billy Taylor, Jaki Byard and many others.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been playing piano since I was in 4th grade and my father and great uncle (Louis Silvers) were musicians too so it was sort of the "family business."
