FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My services are billed as a flat rate (not hourly) & I am separately reimbursed for groceries. This helps me maintain flexibility to meet each client’s needs. I require a deposit upon booking the initial consultation, which will be applied to the final fee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After I speak with a potential client & they let me know they want to move forward with booking my services, we schedule an in-person consultation. A deposit is required before scheduling. At the consultation, we discuss likes/dislikes, what meals the family typically eats in a week, their schedules, etc. I then provide the client with a curated meal plan based on their needs from my extensive recipe library. On cook day, I go grocery shopping for what I need to prepare the meals & then head to the client’s house to begin cooking. Cook day timing ranges anywhere from 3-5 hours (an estimate will be provided to the client based on the meals they choose & the family size). When I’m finished, I package & label the food & clean up the dishes I have used. I follow up with clients 2 days later to see how everything is tasting. For recurring clients, I also send a proposed meal plan for the next cook day.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a Nutritionist for the past six years, working in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Being a personal chef allows me to combine my affection for cooking with my skill of composing well balanced, nutrient-dense meals.
