I am a year late with this review (honestly thought I did it already until I came back on thumbtack for another project and saw I didn’t.) the entire process leading up to the event was amazing. Great communication, transparent with pricing and customizable. The day of the event wasn’t the best, unfortunately. It was my wedding and during our consultation, I asked about vegan options. I told them it was okay if they didn’t have any as it was just for one person (my sister and my best friend.) they assured me they could accommodate an option for her and it was even specified in the final proposal (attached photo.) The day of, the staff claimed they did not have a vegan option and that I never requested it and honestly, felt like they were throwing the blame onto me and didn’t take accountability for their mistake. If they couldn’t do it, I would have had no problem providing an alternative option myself but they assured me it was fine. I reached out to the owner the following day and asked him about it, he responded 3 days later and he did apologize for the misunderstanding and claimed they made vegan options on site. The “vegan option” was a couple pieces of plain, sliced eggplant. I wouldn’t call that a dinner. We ordered something on DoorDash for them instead. It was just really disappointing. I had two food requests: one gluten free option and one vegan option. I was told they could not do GF which was fine, I made other accommodations. Then day of, they have gluten free? Very odd. I would use this catering service again but not for a big event, maybe just something much smaller and less specific, like a birthday party.
