- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer a FREE first short lesson for any individual who needs long-term tutoring or training. Additionally, often, services are provided in addition to any lessons or in-person consulting, at no charge. We provide homework or materials when feasible, as well as scheduling flexibility even at standard rates, though we commit to these services at the "premier" rate. Basic rates for groups: -- For 9 or more hours (more than four weeks at 2hrs/week): $140 per 1-hour lesson for two students + $15-$20/hr for each additional student -- For 5 to 8 hours (up to four weeks at 2hrs/week): $150 per 1-hour lesson for two students + $15-$20/hr for each additional student Per session: -- $150 per 1-hour lesson for two students + $25-$30/hr for each additional student Basic rates for individuals: I charge between $110/hour and $150/hour for individuals, depending on the type of lesson offered, or the kind of consulting provided. Discounts offered for college/university STUDENTS Standard service -- 10 hours paid in advance: $1,100 ($110/hr) -- 5 hours paid in advance: $600 ($120/hr) -- charge per 1 hour lesson: $125 -- discounts available for larger packages or greater lesson durations Premier service -- cover homework and additional resources, as well as priority scheduling and e-mail assistance: -- 10 hours paid in advance: $1,300 ($130/hr) -- 5 hours paid in advance: $712.50 ($142.50/hr) -- charge per 1 hour lesson: $150 -- discounts available for larger packages or greater lesson durations
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a 20 minute phone conversation, for an initial discussion of your needs. Following this conversation, we meet for a consultation to discuss your needs further and to develop a plan.

I have 12 years experience in technical support and software development, as well a couple years experience teaching computer software, web development, ESL, and other subjects.
