Joanna reached out to me with enthusiasm to make the cake for my daughter’s sweet 16! She was excited and ready for the challenge as my daughter wanted this two layer graffiti art throwback cake! Her price was the most reasonable and she even offered delivery with Raphael who was prompt and responsible! I was a little nervous at first as this was my first time planning a sweet 16 and ordering a cake from thumbtack but if I had to do it over I would choose Joanna again with no hesitation!! Listen, when I say Joanna’s work was spot-on, I mean perfect! We went for a jungle theme for my daughter’s first birthday and I wanted a cake and treats with cute friendly face animals not the regular animals.. She understood the mission and delivered in time! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each cake design may differ in price. This all depends on the artistry and design of cake. I start my buttercream cakes at $3.00 per serving and Fondant at $4.00per serving.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a customer contacts me I need to know the basics first. How many people are you trying to serve? What design do you want? Any filling? Etc, be prepared to spend at least 5-10 minutes on the phone answering base questions to complete your order.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Actually, I'm self taught. However I alway like to keep up with new techniques so I am able to create a piece of art for my clients
