He went beyond my expectations to give me a perfect job at much lower cost than I expected. The finish was tasteful, the job was clean, he cleaned up the whole place after he finished, he was honest, ki d, and advised me on all my options and I just had to choose the one I wanted. This is the guy I'm definitely using for my nxt project.

Did an amazing job taking down a wall in our house to create a walkthrough from living room to kitchen. Responded within minutes, came the same day for a quote, and got to work literally the next day.
All work was finished within the same weekend, and it looks fantastic. Highly recommend!

Extremely Disappointing Experience with an Unreliable Contractor
I'm incredibly disappointed in Waseem for our stair renovation project. We connected and he came to our home in Jersey City from Brooklyn to give us an estimate. We agreed upon the scope of work, price, and start date, and I was genuinely excited about the improvements we envisioned. Unfortunately, the experience we had was horrible.
Throughout the weeks leading up to the agreed starting date, the contractor remained unresponsive. Despite our attempts to reach out,we received minimal communication, with only one call in which he vaguely mentioned being "extremely busy", and that we was "a man of his word". He also pushed back the starting date from June 7th to June 12th, just 2 days before June 7th. The lack of responsiveness, especially when we had put our trust in his professionalism, was very frustrating.
Adding to the frustration, the contractor continuously promised to send an invoice for the entire three-week period before the start date but failed to deliver each time. Despite his assurances - "I'll send it by tonight," "I'll send it by Saturday" - we never received the invoice as promised. This lack of follow-through left us feeling increasingly skeptical about his reliability and commitment to the project.
The day before the new agreed start date (today, June 11th), the contractor finally contacted us to discuss the color for staining the stairs after sending out another message on Thumbtack in the morning. We revisited the scope of work and sent him the information on the stain color he had asked us for. However, when we requested the overdue invoice once again, he revealed that he could not provide an invoice, as he is not licensed to work in New Jersey. It was a sudden revelation that left us feeling blindsided and concerned about his credibility, and I questioned him on it as it was a complete surprise (my husband apologized to him for the questions later, as the questions seem to be what made him back out?).
When we made the uncomfortable decision to proceed without the invoice, hoping to salvage the project, the contractor abruptly hung up the phone when we tried calling him back. Moments later, we received a text message stating that he would be unable to complete the job and advised us to seek assistance elsewhere. This last-minute cancellation left us in a bad position, as we had already vacanted our downstairs rental unit for the repairs and were losing money by having it sit empty .
I want to emphasize that we were willing to move forward with the project, even without the invoice, to ensure the job was done, as we had been waiting for weeks already. Unfortunately, this contractor's unprofessional behavior and lack of accountability have caused significant inconvenience, wasted time, and financial implications for us.
It deeply saddens me to leave such a negative review, but I feel it is important to share my experience to protect others from similar frustrations. I strongly urge anyone seeking reliable and trustworthy contractors to look elsewhere. Waseem has demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism, reliability, and respect for their clients' time and commitments
