FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a conservative approach to pricing. We are all dealing with tight budgets, and have limited money available for projects and repairs that crop up. I automatically discount the price of every proposal I make.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Two things that both contractor and client need before starting a job are trust, and an understanding of the expectations of the job. As a contractor, I need to know what you expect the outcome to look like. As a customer, you need to know what is involved to accomplish your project. Out of this communication comes trust. I like to make an initial visit to go over the project and make sure I understand what the customer envisions for a final product.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been involved in building maintenance and facilities management for my entire working career for a variety of commercial and residential properties as well as doing all the maintenance on my homes and regularly helping my friends. I've attended many seminars to improve my knowledge of facilities management. Some have included energy efficiency initiatives and environmental and safety requirements
