GGG service stands out because we are NOT a landscape company...we are a gardening company! With most landscape companies, mowing is primary and the garden is secondary. With us, your garden is our priority!!
We go ABOVE AND BEYOND because we love gardening! We are gardeners with an environmental bent; we recycle & reuse whenever possible; it is the right thing to do, and it saves YOU money!
I have local nurseries I use to source New Hampshire grown perennials, bushes and small trees. We only work in NH, ideally within a 30 mile radius of Concord.
This year we are focusing even more on sustainability, and will be offering wildflower meadows and low water perennials as an alternative to a traditional perennial garden. We are still using fossil-fuel free tools, and we will be charging them with solar!
We will weed, divide perennials, plant and trim small trees and bushes, and redesign an overgrown garden using the clients own plants, keeping costs to a minimum. The labor rate is $50hr/pp for weeding/cleanup and re-design, $50hr/pp for pruning shrubs and small trees, and $55-60hr/pp for a garden rescue. We really work it!!
A big part of my business is perennial garden maintenance on a weekly or bi-weekly or monthly basis. This keeps a perennial garden looking fresh, since we can deadhead and trim the plants and shrubs as they need it. If one plant/perennial isn’t doing well, we can replace it with something else.
Spring and Fall clean -up is also an important part of my business . We usually start spring cleanup as soon as the snow is gone, and work fall clean-up until it snows; the end of Nov-beginning of December. We can trim shrubs and cut down spent perennials at this time, ensuring a fresh spring start!
We also lay mulch down on existing perennial/shrub beds, and either throughly weed by the root or lay landscape paper after weeding for long-lasting weed prevention. We NEVER lay mulch on existing weeds! We can design a garden from scratch, enriching the soil with compost if needed, and planting perennials to bloom in all three growing seasons.
I love all the aspects of gardening, but there are two types I enjoy most.
The first I call "garden rescue" for lack of a better term. Garden rescues occur when an established garden has been neglected for many reasons; in 2-3 years it becomes unrecognizable!! It can also be a new property for the homeowner, who was unaware of the time & energy the former owner put into that magnificent garden!
I love a garden rescue because the transformation is stunning, both to the gardener and the homeowner. It just makes you smile!
The second is tree and shrub trimming when the plant has not been pruned for years. The planning and execution of the trimming makes the plant healthier and the look is symmetrical. The before and after pics tell the story!i
