- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Often, I may talk briefly with them before taking a deposit to determine that it's a good fit and that they are comfortable with me. Then, once we're contracted, I will have them tell me how they envision their ceremony; what kind of components do they want to include. Some couples have their own script already in mind, so I'll help them smooth that out. If not, I give my on line ceremony builder with a standard ceremony and lists of options for each component ( e.g. openings, vows, presentations, etc. ). They can pretty much build their perfect ceremony from the options. I like to meet clients, so I get a sense of them before the actual ceremony, but it's not necessary. If they prefer we can do everything by e-mail and/or phone.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I spent 30 years as a high school teacher which helps me relate to people and be comfortable in front of a group...especially when things don't go exactly as planned...as weddings rarely do.
