LOCATED IN OMAHA, NE. If you are looking for local in person lessons outside of the Omaha area, I would encourage you to consider taking my online lessons! I will provide you with a unique and unequaled professional level learning experience in the privacy, comfort and convenience of your own home! I have several online National students (including kids that started with no prior experience!). I have over 30 years of teaching experience and graduated from Musician’s Institute in 1991. I studied under guitar greats Nick Nolan, Steve Trovato, Norman Brown, and Jennifer Batten (Guitarist for Michael Jackson and Jeff Beck!) to name a few! I teach most styles from beginner to advanced and specialize in Blues, Blues Rock, Rock, Fusion and Country. I also teach harmony and theory, sight reading and ear training. I also offer gift certificates for lessons!

I have been taking online guitar lessons with Erik for over 2 months now and I can say that there is a significant transformation in my guitar playing. From the very first lesson, Erik created a welcoming and supportive atmosphere that made me feel comfortable and tailors the lesson to my individual needs and areas that I need working on. I am a bit older and always wanted to learn guitar. I have attempted many online options and someone suggested a live teacher. I found Erik through thumbtack and I can honestly say I am really happy to have started this journey. To start I am able to take lessons online through video conferencing. This is a must for me since I have a very busy work schedule. From there Erik had me playing songs right away, which is really rewarding. He also is extremely flexible and helps me learn songs I want to know. It’s actually so cool…I bring up a song I want to play and he pulls it up to listen and works it out right then and there. Pretty amazing to watch. He also spends time answering questions I have about music or certain songs. Honestly it’s been a great experience. Completely painless, low pressure and absolutely rewarding. Definitely recommend.

I really was not sure about taking lessons on-line. I am an older student and worried about being able to learn from someone who was not in the room with me. Erik has been wonderful! He is patient, positive and no matter how badly I mess up, he remains encouraging. He gives great tips for getting through challenges and sets obtainable practice goals. Originally I planned to engage in lessons for the summer (I started in July), but have enjoyed lessons so much that I will continue as long as my schedule will allow. I just shared with Erik that my job is pretty stressful, but my practice time and my time with him during lessons have become my “happy” place. I highly recommend him as a teacher.
