FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our service call fee is $225.00 plus the cost of the materials. Major projects are a case by case basis. Cash is the preferred method of payment. However, we can process debit and credit cards which includes an additional 6% processing fee. We only accept business or cashier's check. We only give quotes after we conduct an in-person walk down to ensure that we have a full understanding about the scope of work. That way our expectations and the customer expectations are on the same page. We don't give quotes based off someone sending pictures because the entire scope of work may not be captured in the pictures. That's also an easy way for scope creep to enter into the bid and we don't want a customer to view us as being a dishonest company.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Customer puts in a request for our services 2. We contact the customer to arrange a date and time to walk down the job 3. We develop a bid proposal and return it to the customer ASAP 4. If all parties agree then we start work on the project ASAP
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Independent Electrical Contractors is a national trade association, which sponsor a 4 year electrical apprenticeship that is approved and regulated by the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Apprenticeship.
