FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically charge $20/hour because I bring my own supplies and I do an excellent job. I have some clients who have me do a set number of hours at a fixed rate, whatever I can get done in that agreed amount of time and some who have me clean however long it takes me, at a fixed rate per hour. I have some who call when they need me and some I do on a consistent scheduled basis, so I'm very flexible.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get an idea of what they are expecting so I make sure they are happy with the job I do.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been cleaning for people on the side for the past 10 years. I was the assistant head housekeeper at a hotel and still would be, had they not had to close due to the flood diversion project. For the past 9 years I've cleaned for a men's retirement hangout in Fergus Falls and currently I clean for some tenants in the apt building I live in, as well as get vacant apts ready for new tenants; doing cleaning and interior painting.
