Right before Christmas 2019, we had shingles replaced on all our facilities at Crestview Wesleyan Church in Asheboro. A really cool backstory of how this happened: During our annual BBQ in October - Jason Leonard happened to stop by and get a BBQ plate because one of our members invited him. He asked the guys outside cooking hushpuppies "what are you raising $$$ for" and they pointed to the roof on our fellowship hall and said "to replace shingles on that building." Jason told them that he could look at the buildings - and if he saw enough damage - we could get the insurance company to buy our roof. Bottom line - Jason found plenty of wind damage - worked with me to call insurance company - worked with adjustor - and the insurance company paid to replace the shingles on our fellowship hall, picnic area, and sanctuary. An unbelievable blessing! When they got to stripping the shingles off the sanctuary roof - they found 2 major issues: 1) particle board under the shingles that had basically turned to dust - so we had to add plywood. 2) even worse, there was electrical conduit laying on top of roof - so we had to add 2x4's to go over conduit. Jason and the roofing leader worked closely with our church trustee's to help solve these difficult issues professionally and punctually with almost no downtime. Even though we will have to pay some money to fix the original errors with church roof construction, our total cost is less than it would be to replace shingles on just our small fellowship hall! Because of Jason, we are able to use funds primarily for ministry instead of facility maintenance. Highly recommend Jason Leonard and Mid Atlantic Roofing. I am very pleased with the roofing replacement job that Mid-Atlantic Roofing did for me during the Pandemic. My home had wind damage and I had several different companies come by to look at my roof and I didnt feel comfortable having them working on my roof. I had one person inspecting my roof and he was pulling up tabs to try to get the roof fail the insurance inspection so I asked them to leave. If they were unethical in getting the business then I would expect them to be unethical in the way they would cut corners installing my roof. Dan stopped by the same day that my insurance inspector came by and he was very professional and helpful with the process. The insurance claims department underestimated the squares needed to complete the job and Dan handled contacting the Insurance company to have them make the correction to the claim. Shortly after the claim was approved the pandemic hit and the stay at home order was in place and I expected that the job would be delayed for several weeks. Dan stayed in touch with me during the process and was able to get the job completed just one week later than the original schedule. The crew did an outstanding job and completed the job in one day and did a great job cleaning up before they left. Im very happy with the job that Mid Atlantic did on my roof and I would highly recommend them. It was a pleasure to work with Dan and thankful for his help throughout the process.Charlie
