- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard price for writing your marriage ceremony, performing your marriage and turning in your marriage license to the office of Deeds is. $250. This includes a meeting before the wedding ceremony with the bride and groom to plan the wedding ceremony. There is an additional $75 fee for the wedding rehearsal. A $50 travel fee may be charged if more driving time is over an hour in each direction.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to talk with the new couple so I can get to know the couple and what their wedding ceremony expectations are. I will send wedding ceremonony samples and ideas so the bride and groom can choose what they want to include in their special and unique wedding ceremony. I like to write the ceremony after talking with the couple so they can make sure the ceremony is what they want for their wedding day. The couples wedding ceremony should be the way they have always dreamed it would be! It is a good idea to also have a wedding rehearsal to make sure everyone involved in the ceremony is comfortable. A wedding rehearsal is very important to ensure everything goes smoothly on the wedding day.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a master's degree in Middle Level Education. I have currently completed a wedding planner certificate class. I have officiated many weddings over the last nine years. I have been a schoolteacher for 40 years and I love public speaking and creative writing. I love making each wedding ceremony special and unique just the way the bride and groom would love it to be. Your wedding day will always be a day you will remember.
