Likewise, I do not recommend this person as a client, I have never had a dissatisfied client, you are the first. I have done bathroom remodeling before and all of my clients have been totally happy. The reason I asked this person for 50% in advance is because we agreed that I was going to start on Friday and he never responded, then he contacted me saying that he found someone cheaper and if I could improve that price, to which I politely said no. I started doing a job and I did not leave it at 10%, it was much more than that. I had planned to finish that bathroom in two days as agreed and I had the first day ready. I had one more day of work left when you canceled the job because you wanted me to do some demolition that was not included in the price and you got upset because I told you that if you wanted me to do it I had to charge you extra. This is the thing, this person booked me for Friday which I set aside for him, he never responded, he made me lose my day and my partner’s, then the next day he asked me to go and I went but obviously I didn’t trust you anymore due to your lack of responsibility and word, that’s why I charged you 50% in advance, obviously as it was a surprise that you contacted me after having failed to comply with the agreed upon day, I went that same day to be reliable with you but I went alone, my partner was going to go the next day to help me since he couldn’t that day because it was not agreed to go on Saturday, we had agreed for Friday. Anyways the next day after we started the job he tells me to demolish a wall in the bathroom and I told him it was no problem but that it was extra since that was not included in the price I gave him and he simply cancels the project and tells me to give him his money back, I had my partner on the way who also set aside his day for you, you made us lose Friday and Sunday since we had also agreed that we were going to meet in the morning to go buy the missing materials that you said you were going to get on your own and you didn’t do it either. and I was so generous that of the 50% that you advanced me I gave you back 10% when I advanced you 40% of the work and you made me and my partner lose 2 days because of your irresponsibility. As for the lack of equipment, I don’t know what you mean, all I needed that day to scrape the popcorn ceiling was a spatula and a scraper to remove the wallpaper from the wall, I don’t understand what you mean by lack of equipment, you just kept saying that I was not prepared without any kind of basis or foundation or proof or facts that I am not prepared and the only thing you based these words on was your own prejudice towards me because I told you that I worked in a restaurant, I think it is completely irrelevant and it does not concern you what I do besides this job, the only thing that concerns you and is really relevant to you is that I comply with you and do well the work that you have requested, I was responsible and punctual with you even though you were not, you did not allow me to finish the work because you got upset because you wanted me to do something additional that was not included in what was agreed. In short, I think that you do not value people’s work and time, you just want everything to be cheap and you are capable of breaking agreements and going back on your word in order to save a dollar, and that is not how things work, at least I don’t work that way.
