Initially I messaged Bob on Thumbtack and he responded immediately just as other reviews advised he would. I loved this and set up a time and day for a preliminary meeting. Again he arrived as scheduled. I discussed my vision and what I wanted done and he gave me his honest straightforward advice of cost analysis and what it would take for my vision to become a reality. There was A LOT of things I had not factored in and he thoroughly explained the ends and out of what needed to happen. Huge reality check for me of all things to consider. I am more than pleased with Bob’s responsiveness and honesty as I contemplate next steps for my existing home. All things considered I’m pleased with my decision of contacting Bob the Builder and would recommend contacting him first before you do anything!

Although we ended up not doing our project. This team was extremely responsive and helpful with explaining the process. I had a very rough idea and they helped turn it something practical to consider. If we collect the funds in the future I would definitely work with them.

While I did not choose to start the project at this time, he was very punctual and responded to Inquiries within 15-20 minutes max. Was also very transparent in what it would take to get the job completed and asked questions to help accurately understand the scope of the job. Definitely plan to use when we start the project.

Bob did a great job on our unfinished basement. Within 4 weeks of starting work he had completely finished the job. He finished on time and under budget, as promised. He was very responsive to questions and needs throughout the process and communicated well. He helped us navigate a challenging situation with our HVAC unit and how best to tie in our existing system with the new finished space. We have thoroughly enjoyed having the extra space to host kids' events, youth groups, and a clean/conditioned space to play ping-pong, foosball, and watch sports/movies.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We only do one job at a time and don't take multiple jobs we can't complete on time. We only do work that requires building permits and inspections.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with phone interview. We get many calls from good folks who honestly need a handyman rather than a licensed General Contractor to do their job. Many questions can be handled over the phone and we are more than happy to answer them for you without a field visit.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Unlimited building contractors license in both commercial and residential work.
