FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is structured to include various services included with time allotted for service call. For instance, our standard appointment of 2 hours allows for basic tuning, minor pitch adjustment, minor adjustments to action, pedal, hammers, dampers, etc., where anything major is not required. We also will disinfect whatever areas we touched to help prevent any spread of any virus that may be on our person. Our service area is within 50 miles of our office. Anything further will be considered, but will require a travel fee in addition to standard service fees.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After securing a service appointment, we do fact finding of what the needs of the piano owner is most important. We also do a full inspection of the piano to find anything that we will recommend to service in order to have the piano operate at it's best capabilities. We also like to arrange for follow up appointments (when necessary) at the visit to secure a place on our busy calendar to keep the piano in it's best performing condition.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My education was training with a top notch piano technician starting 1992 as an apprentice, then attending monthly meetings with the local chapter of the Piano Technicians Guild, also attending national conventions for education and networking with other technicians throughout the world.
