Big Trees did an excellent job taking down a very large tree that was dead and in a difficult location in my backyard up against my fence. They removed the tree without damaging my fence or the bushes directly below. They did some additional trimming as well. As was cleaned up extremely well. Great job!

I had a dead tree that had I had a big branch break off of and break the fence between my yard and a neighbor’s yard at night. It scared me enough that I came inside immediately and sent a thumbtack request for tree cutting services. David with Big Trees LLC responded almost immediately and said he could come do at estimate at 9AM the next morning. He arrived promptly at 9 and we went to look at the tree. He was very polite and professional and easy going. He gave me an estimate that surprised me by how reasonable it was. I was expecting the worst, as nothing is cheap in NOVA. He also said he could get it done the same day, which was a big relief. I also asked him about another tree that was leaning precariously towards a neighbor’s house. He said he could do both trees the same day and gave me another great price for the second tree. I was also concerned about whether they would need to bring parts of the tree down in my neighbors’ yards, as both trees were leaning precariously towards (and with one tree over) my neighbors’ yards. David assured me they would bring both down in my yard. I was skeptical though as it seemed impossible to me how that was possible. David and his crew were tree artisans however and were able to bring both of these very large and tricky trees down in my yard, without even a branch or leaf falling in my neighbors’ yards. Very impressive! I had them lave the wood, as I have a wood burning fireplace and plan to burn it. They cut both trees to the perfect length sections for splitting and cleaned the yard up nicely. Big Trees will now be my go to tree specialists. I will close by saying that I intended on getting a couple of quotes, but after talking with David, I cancelled the other appointments. My first impression was so positive that I decided I didn’t need to talk to anyone else. David’s price for the trees was what I had paid 10+ years ago for a similar tree. Plus, his professionalism and easy going no pressure approach was very refreshing.

They got here right on time and went straight to work. It was easy coordinating everything and the process was even smoother. My tree was about 40 ft tall and it took them two hours to get it down and remove the stump. After they cleaned up the debris and put some of it in the soil. Hauled away everything and even some branches I had piling up, great work!
