Introduction

I have 18 years of teaching experience in high school Spanish and English. I offer tutoring services to students struggling with grammar and writing. I also offer college essay and other composition assistance. I majored in Spanish and have traveled all over the world, so I also offer Spanish lessons and tutoring. I am currently a teacher at Cardinal Gibbons High School in Raleigh, NC, where I teach AP English Literature and Composition. I enjoy helping my students excel and reach their potential in a number of academic areas.

I’ve been receiving lessons from Luke for 6 months now (and still going!), and would highly recommend him. He’s professional, experienced, and flexible in his teaching style. Although our lessons have been conversationally structured (per my request), I’ve also enjoyed his strong command of Spanish grammar, and have found it really useful in learning Spanish as a beginner.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet/have a phone conversation with clients and get to know exactly what their goals are. That way, I can develop a leaning plan tailored to their individual needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a lifetime teacher. I have been teaching for 18 years and I have won two awards for my work. I have a BA in Spanish, a BA in Philosophy and an MA from St. John's College in Annapolis (the Great Books program).
