FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Hourly consults are $125/hour with a one hour minimum. After that I work in 15 minute increments. I actually can work on line as easily as in person with consultations and have lots of aps available to get the point across easily.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We first have a "meet and greet" in the home to review their space and their thoughts for how they will use the home and the style they want. I take pictures and measurements if needed. We review goals and budgets. Then I set an appointment for the next consultation to review ideas and discuss fabrics, art, furniture... Whatever is needed. We set the immediate budget into play, beginning phase 1 and file the rest for phase 2 as time and money allow.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
To stay current in my field, I constantly take continuing education classes, talk to my vendor representatives and travel nationally to keep abreast of new products and trends. Residential design quickly follows fashion and part of my job is to introduce new trends to the home, but not be too "trendy". Good design will last through the trends, but also address them. There is a fine line to know how to accomplish that. My classes and networking continue to allow me to stay current on the trends, and introduce new colors and products to my clients in a classic style.
