Greg did an excellent job with the drywall repairs and painting that my home project needed. Greg painted my large foyer area and ceiling, which both needed a lot of attention due to a roof leak and neglect from previous owners/renters. Communication was great throughout the process, as Greg was quick to answer questions and thorough in his explanations. He also recommended and gave advice on paint colors, types, and finishes. I initially planned to go with a solid neutral white throughout the house, but I ultimately decided on three shades of gray in the foyer (including a dark gray accent wall). I'm very happy with the color combination. There were a couple of significant miscommunications about the layout of the colors and what was to be included and what wasn't (i.e., trim painting), but we were able to settle and clear those up amicably. Pros: The ceiling looks great and Greg did not make a mess on any the fixtures, smoke alarms, etc. He was careful to tape everything, remove light switch and outlet plates, and use appropriate prep materials to hide/seal the previous leak. I'm extremely happy with the ceiling. There are also no significant paint splatters or issues with the paint getting onto things it shouldn't have, even with multiple colors next to each other. Cons: I wish I had known to clean the baseboards and walls (maybe with TSP) and then to spackle a couple of spots. I assumed those would be handled, but I didn't ask, which was my error. There are a couple of spots where spackle would've worked nicely, so I do wish there was a bit more prep work with sanding and filling. Secondly, there was an area of the house where the walls were in poorer condition, so there are visible lines that look almost like two slightly different colors (a few bands of slightly different colors). It wouldn't be as noticeable if it wasn't where the light comes in the front door area. Greg came out after the initial completion and attempted to touch up blend the area, but it could've likely just used another coat of paint on the entire wall rather than a blending because it's as noticeable (or even more noticeable) than before. I realize my walls were in very bad shape and low luster paint shows more imperfections, so it's a huge improvement and I'm happy with the results. I may later hire have another coat done to the foyer area later on just to perfect it. Just a few things to be mindful of in the future. Regardless, I plan to hire Greg again for other rooms, as my budget and reno plans permit. A family member is also looking to hire him for some painting after seeing his work. He did a great job overall. Thanks!

Meet with the client in person to get full details about the goal. Prepare a detailed contract. Provide References. Prep and complete the paint job. Set up deposit and final payment arrangements Do a final walk through in end. clean all that was painted to the clients satisfaction.
