I love space planning, colors selecting and research & developing your style to the final completion in a timely manner. Trained at the prestigious Parsons School of Design and Fashion Institute of Technology, my extensive background in the arts informs my signature style. With residential and commercial projects on Long Island and New York City to Pennsylvania, Florida, South Carolina & Vermont. I am a certified Allied Member of both ASID , IDS and IIDA. JOHN St. James Plantation Darlene @ Design Cache Interiors did an amazing job for us. We built a new home in St. James Plantation and engaged Design Cache Interiors as we were finishing plans with our architect. Darlene worked closely with us to help develop layouts, choose furniture, materials, rugs, lamps, window coverings, etc. T She made a super-complicated process incredibly simple, whether we were ordering a new couch or refurbishing a vintage lamp, converting chairs to eliminate the flame retarding chemicals. The interior design firm also helped design a custom table, advised on the selection of the perfect wood, received all of our furniture, managed returns and repairs for furniture that came in damaged from shipment, and set things up beautifully while we were out of town. Truly amazing. I cannot recommend Darlene @ Design Cache Interiors more highly!

As a contractor/painter I’ve worked with lots of “designers”. It wasn’t till I worked with Darlene Parr- Cohen that I realized what a true designer is. The job we were on was on had the craziest deadline ever. 5 days to do 2 weeks work of worth easy. How we pulled it off will go down in history. Lots of long days and nights. Her incredible vision and taste helped my work look even better. She was a true jack of all trades and was a huge help with anything me or my guys needed. Hiring anyone else would be a mistake!!!!

In charge of all matters design-related, Darlenes expert eye for style, color, materials and space has proven invaluable in the process of turning our new home into a classy, inviting and treasured home. Design Cache Interiors has not only met my high expectations, but exceeded them. I was sold ever since my first consultation with Darlene. A winning attitude and outstanding listening skills, coupled with Darlenes uncanny ability to quickly identify our (mainly mine) tastes and styles, as well as effortlessly and creatively managing to incorporate existing pieces of furniture into an innovative design and layout. When my wife and I built our mountain top home in the upstate of South Carolina Darlene partnered with my wife and guided us in several key areas - paint color selection , rug and flooring , fabrics and furniture hunt and most importantly - acquisition. The result is a pleasing interior that compliments the beautiful view we have. Many describe if a Mountain Contemporary. Darlene listened to us ...offered her ideas and a couple of palettes and renderings to choose from. We love the final ensemble. We love Darlenes work. You will love working with Darlene too !
