FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is not complicated and varies with each party. Things that come into play when pricing a party will be things like...how many children will be attending? how far is the party from where I live ( travel time necessary) how many things do they want.... what kind of party ie. first birthday, communion etc. is the patrty being held outside. Also how long were they planning on having ther entertainer.... usually I like a two hour minimum... 15 children or less will need about 2 hours to do face painting and then one other thing ie. balloons, or magic... or do they want three or four thins. This all goes into pricing. Some people have a very limited budget so I will try and work with them to see what I can do for what the can afford.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I really like to speak with the customer personally. Emails are good for start but that personal interaction gives me the opportunity to get to know then a little better and will make the event run smoother.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
At least three to four times a year I attend various conventions covering the art of clowning, Face painting, balloon twisting, and magic. I am also a current member of the Central Jersey Face painting guild and the Northern Jersey face-painting guild. I also read many of the magazines on face painting and balloon twisting as well as going on You Tube if I need to brush up on any skills. Jamming with friends in my field is another way we share skills and learn from each other.
