The Marriage Celebration is one of the most important days in the lives of two individuals, and I would be honored to join you in your special day. I do my best to ensure that your day is free of stress and is enjoyable. I am a non-denominational, ordained minister of the Gospel. I serve as the Pastor of Ray of Hope Christian Center in Whitakers, NC and hold a MDiv degree from Shaw University. I have performed weddings both inside the church and in other venues. I strive to ensure that your day is full of the love of Christ and that you & your guests feel love in every moment of the day. I am available for traditional weddings between a man & woman, vow renewals, baby dedications, and memorial services. I am also a public notary and can provide assistance with documents that need to be notarized. I am prompt, thorough, and strive to be one less thing you have to worry about on your special day. I look forward to being a part of this special moment with you & yours.

Rev. Matt was absolutely amazing. We had a trainwreck of a situation in the 24 hours leading up to the ceremony where our venue suddenly cancelled on us and our officiant was unable to accommodate the only place we could find on such short notice. After some panicked searching, we reached out to Rev. Matt late in the evening, as it took our prior officiant a long time to get back to us with the bad news, and he made time for a zoom call that night. He was so kind and asked us a ton of questions about our relationship and what we wanted our ceremony to be like. He crafted a beautiful, unique ceremony script that perfectly encapsulated our relationship. On the day of he showed up early and expertly guided us through the ceremony even without a rehearsal. He is a man who exudes kindness and joy and I can honestly say our wedding would have been missing something if he hadn’t been there. If you need an officiant, look no further! Rev. Matt is the best in the business.

Rev. McFarlin was awesome! He is very friendly and accommodating. After meeting with him one time, he was able to put together a ceremony that was perfect for us! He is very professional! He was punctual! And he is very patient! He was definitely the best choice for us! He is also affordable. But no matter his price, we still would have paid. He is worth it. He also coordinated his suit to the colors of our wedding. We would recommend him to anyone!

Reverend Matthew was truly a godsend. My wife Tina and I needed an officiant within 2 weeks and we were lucky enough to find Matthew. We even had to move our wedding date due to being sick and amazingly he was able to accommodate. Reverend Matthew was very professional, prepared, and very down to earth. He spoke so well during the ceremony and worked with us to come up with a script that both myself and my wife loved. If you're looking for a god-centered Reverend that is able to create a great ceremony and incorporate your story, do yourself a favor and have Matthew officiate your wedding; you will not regret.
