I cannot say enough positive things about Gwen. She was always positive, professional and courteous. When I started I had literally no vocal training or experience. Gwen worked with me to find my strengths and weaknesses and I learned so so much from her expertise. She is very educated and also has an amazing voice. She is also very diverse as she can teach many different styles of music. Whatever I chose to work on, Gwen was so supportive and passionate, and a great support to me and my vocal journey.I also got quick responses every time I emailed her a question. She gave me so much advice that helped my voice tremendously! I did find the virtual lessons a bit more challenging but all in all, Gwen made my virtual lesson experience as positive as possible. I definitely recommend Baier music for anyone new looking to learn voice, or for an advanced singer looking to work on vocal style or just take their voice to the next level.

From my first session with Gwen I felt safe in her hands when it came to my voice work. I’ve always been a singer but haven’t been in lessons or a choir in over ten years and I wanted to start training my voice again. She encouraged my natural talents and also pushed me to try new styles/genres to experience everything my voice could do. I had to stop lessons when she moved out of state and I miss her so much!

WOW. I highly recommend Gwen and I have so many positive things to say about her. First, Gwen is such a highly skilled singer. Her years of experience, education, and training definitely shows whenever she sings. The way she has developed her own vocal ability from when she was younger is a true testament the amount of dedication she has in regards to mastering her craft. If you become her student, (which I hope you do) ask her to show you videos of her vocal evolution. It’s extremely inspiring and it encourages us as students to know that if we work hard we can also reach a certain level as well. Secondly, Gwen is a highly gifted teacher. Not everyone who has such an incredible vocal ability can convey things in such an understandable and concise manner. As a teacher, Gwen is very focused, honest, and individualized in her teaching approach and she gives recommendations and exercises catered to the issues I am dealing with. She is able to recognize and give recommendations based on the problems I am facing in a clear manner that clicks and sticks. Gwen also has a beautiful combination of honesty and patience, so when she conveys feedback, it’s always in a manner that is helpful and productive. On top of all of these wonderful things, Gwen is a genuine and kind-hearted person with a calming demeanor. She would be a great teacher for both youth and adults alike! I am a 27 year old male and when I began my lessons with her I had never had a vocal lesson before in my life. I was extremely nervous and anxious, but when I talked to her on the phone for the first time she eased my worries and concerns. When I met her in person to have my first lesson I knew I was in great hands. So far I’ve had six lessons with her, and we meet on a weekly basis. I’m so excited to continue my training with Gwen and I can’t thank her enough for all that she has helped me with so far. I’m so happy that I selected Gwen as my first vocal teacher, and I hope you do too! 💜

I enjoy working with Gwen. She is so kind and has helped me improve my confidence in singing from the very beginning. Gwen responds very quickly to my messages and questions, which is much appreciated by me. My favorite part of each lesson is doing vocal warm-ups; sometimes, when I messed up, she supported me along the way. I try again and push myself to do the best that I can do. I never felt embarrassed or shy about singing because she is friendly and non-judgemental. I am so glad that I have Gwen as my vocal teacher. May, I also mention that the price and value of the vocal lessons are fantastic. Singing has been a great coping mechanism during these difficult times. I couldn't ask for a better teacher and coach. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The pricing I use varies depending on the needs and goals of the student.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to start with a consultation where I sit down with a potential client and explain how they would fit in if they were to choose me as their teacher. From there I explain how we can achieve goals (or create goals together) in taking lessons. For kids I like to use a method book that is best suited for them and use a practice journal to note their progress. I also like to use a practice journal for my adult students as well.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance with a minor in theater and a Master's in Music Performance with a concentration in Vocal Pedagogy. I also have taken 5 years of piano lessons and 2 more years of piano in undergrad.
