Let me start by saying my mom cleaned houses for years when I was small. I'm familiar with what to expect. I reached out to Jessica on a Tues, and she had an availability on Thursday the same week. I accepted. I signed up for a basic clean - 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, one story, dogs in the home, less than 2000 sq/ft. Issue #1 was my fault - I didn't ask ahead of time for pricing, figuring between $150-175; that was the avg for my area per Thumbtack. When I asked on the morning she was to arrive, to make sure I had enough cash on hand, she stated it would be $250. I was honestly shocked; but as a fellow business owner, I understand time is money, and I wasn't going to cancel at the last minute. She arrived at 12pm with just a man alongside to help clean. They were shown the house and then left alone to do their work. I left $280 in cash on the kitchen counter. I recieved a text at 2:05 that they were done. When I arrived home at 530, and was able to take a look around I was extremely disappointed. There were issues in almost every room. To be fair, I have 2 children and was not expecting a miracle in their rooms. However, the first bathroom was literally just wiped down, and the mirror wasn't touched. It still had toothpaste on it. I walked into the living room, MOST things were not dusted. The glass on top of the coffee table was wiped, but the shelf under it was not. The lamp wasn't dusted. Nothing on the mantle had been moved or dusted. The surface of my glass top stove was SIGNIFICANTLY scratched. There were no scratches prior to Jessica cleaning. In the master bedroom, nothing was moved to dust on top of dressers, just wiped around. In my bathroom, I have a tall standing mirror - the top half was wiped, but not the bottom. The 2 bobby pins that were on the bathroom floor that morning were still there that evening. Now, I did text Jessica once I had a chance to look over everything and made her aware that I was disappointed- her response was to come back that Saturday to "touch up what was wrong." I honestly wasn't interested in a touch up at that point, as it wasn't actually cleaned to begin with.
