I hold a Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, and I am currently pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Classical Guitar Performance. I also have twenty years teaching experience including positions at Music Academy of North Carolina, Music and Arts Center (Huntersville, NC), Central Piedmont Community College, and Davidson College. I can teach a diverse range of styles and genres from classical guitar, rock, blues, pop, jazz, metal, etc... I utilize many apps to help students reach their goals faster and teach based on the students goals. Many of my students learn to read standard notation, tab, chord charts, and lead sheets depending on their individual goals. I strive to create a fun relaxed atmosphere where students can enjoy their time and learn a lot at the same time. Rates are $30 for 30 minutes, $42.50 for 45 minutes, and $55 hour for weekly lessons. I have a home office set up as a teaching studio and students only need to bring their instruments (amplifier and cable provided during lesson). I love seeing my students reach their goals (no matter how big or how small). The smile, sense of satisfaction, and confidence that I see in my students as they progress gives me a great sense of humility to be able to work with such great students week after week and many times year after year. From beginners who have never played a note in their life to advanced students who have played for years I enjoy sharing the joy of music with each of them.
