Our HVAC stopped working on a heat record breaking day in NC, and it needed to be replaced. Within 20 minutes of contacting John, he was able to give us an accurate estimate for a new unit that had all the specifics we needed (including price). I had other contractors do the same, but John had one of the most competitive prices so we went with him. He said he would only need the money to buy the unit upfront (over $3K) and the rest after the installation was completed. Having never used thumbtack before (and knowing there's a lot of scammers out there), we were a little uneasy to pay the money upfront, but decided to trust the reviews. I'm so glad we did!!!
