In my nine years of experience as a personal trainer, I noticed that many of my client's "weight loss issues" were not about eating or exercise, but rather altering their lifestyle, thought patterns and behaviors. I hold a variety of fitness certifications, including my 200 hr RYT, BS in Kinesiology and a Master's in Clinical Exercise Physiology. I have taught hundreds of group fitness classes as well as had thousands of hours of experience working with clients. I specialize in working with women focusing on weight loss, strength training , injury rehabilitation and clinical populations. I have worked with clients who have suffered from back, knee ,hip and shoulder injuries/ surgeries, sciatica, cancer, plantar fasciitis, arthritis, obesity, stroke, paralysis, neuropathy, cardiac related issues , hypothyroidism, diabetes and hypertension. I have experience training individuals pre/ post -natal, in addition to working with the older population 80+.
I believe that when working with clients, I am taking the journey with them. I check in with clients regularly, helping to hold them accountable, while providing necessary support and encouragement. Though the main purpose of training sessions is to exercise and teach clients exercise knowledge, it is also a time for clients to reflect upon their thoughts, habits and behavior patterns while overcoming exercise or nutrition related trauma. It is through training sessions and wellness realignment sessions that we discuss the trauma and challenges of life and how we can modify our mindset to overcome difficult times, behaviors or lifelong struggles. Taking part in the " exercise " behavior multiple times a week allows us to train the body mentally as it does physically. We all deserve to meet the greatest version of ourselves. Every client is capable of achieving their goal. The question lies within you though. How much of the old habits, mindsets and behaviors and traumatic experiences are you willing wit release in order to meet your greatest version?
