- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
See what their specific needs are, work up a quote based on a short 5/6 additional questions (that may not have been answered in the initial ad), then provide a quote. A deposit is required (applied to balance) but is used to confirm your date/time. Follow up a week or 2 before the event to help with any last minute questions/concerns and provide client shopping list or ideas of what amounts to buy for their guest list size/hours of service. 2-3 days before get the drink menu finalized.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I’ve been informally doing this for family and friends for 20+ years. Since I have a “day job” this is something I like to do for fun, but take seriously yet have a great time!
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I enjoy working with clients to establish a drink menu (complete with signature drinks). My fav was a recent Halloween party where I designed a few “spooky” drinks.
